” The ‘Islamic State’ cannot be destroyed
Any war needs to have clear objectives, and it’s important that we understand Isil cannot be destroyed within the timescale and limits of an air war – it can only be weakened. Remember that the US has been conducting air strikes and special forces raids in countries like Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia for well over a decade – but jihadists not only remain present, but also control territory and continue to plot against us. Even in Afghanistan, thousands of foreign troops have not eliminated the Taliban.”

How can bombing these Jihadists prevent trouble at home, does anyone else see the irony ?
Politicians are going headlong into a carefully laid trap.
