I found these in the house today,I dread to think what my reaction would have been had they dive bombed me,it is bad enough they were found dead , inside when the doors were closed. 


One was on the floor by the West facing doors, then hour later the other was found by the south facing door. I have never seen anything like them  smaller they could be a dark hornet  & I’m used to seeing them around, but just look at these things they are massive & way beyond hornet size…

I don’t have a spider phobia…well known types of spiders,but these give me the creeps.

Does anyone have any idea what they are,obviously the hot weather has brought them here ?

This is a Hawkmoth….. nothing like these other things !
